- ➤ On August 2nd, 2008, at around 10:00 p.m. police responded to 41 S. Cannon Drive in Edgemoor to find 19-year-old Nelson Drakeford with multiple gunshot wounds—he died shortly after arriving at the hospital and the cold case remains under investigation. New Castle County Police Department

- ➤ Delaware’s fall season begins with the autumnal equinox on Sept 22 at 2:19 p.m., and leaves will remain green until around Sept 30 before showing color changes. Peak hues are expected to start in Hockessin around Oct 29—spreading to New Castle County by Nov 1—and reach full display by mid-November. Delaware Online
