- ➤ Construction on the new Newark Library reached an important milestone just before Thanksgiving when the first steel beams were placed at the project site—expanding the facility from 26,000 to 40,000 square feet and setting the stage for its spring 2027 opening. WDEL
- ➤ Delaware has 470 children in foster care as agencies struggle to find enough foster families for teens who need special help with housing, jobs, and transportation when they age out — state officials and partners are working to keep youth close to their communities.
