- ➤ The Delaware Department of Agriculture recognized Nichole Krambeck, a LEADelaware Fellow, when her business Insight Ag Scouting received an Entrepreneur Award at Wednesday night’s EDGE 2.0 grant competition in Newark—an event aimed at supporting early-stage small businesses with funds for key projects. - ➤ Larry Carr, longtime WVUD DJ and beloved Blue Hen alumnus, passed away on November 4 at age 85—friends recall his lasting impact on campus and his memorable presence on air. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov.20 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland with military honors following at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear. - ➤ The Biden School hosted the fifth SNF Ithaca Initiative National Student Dialogue at its Newark campus on Oct. 17-18, where more than 130 students, faculty and staff from 54 colleges gathered to discuss civil discourse and create third spaces on campus + breakout sessions covered free speech and political differences while organizers noted growth from 16 colleges in 2022. - ➤ DSWA is hosting guided tours at its recycling center today in honor of (America Recycles Day) and visitors will learn how the facility sorts and processes recyclables. Delaware Online

- ➤ Delaware officials and Thomas Jefferson University signed a memorandum of understanding to create a branch campus for a new medical school. The MOU was signed two weeks before Governor Meyer announced plans to use federal funds to boost rural health care and will lead to a competitive procurement process—classes are set to begin by June. - ➤ At Bally’s Dover on Nov. 13, Watch Em Win with driver Tim Tetrick won in 1:54.2 and Slugger On Deck with driver Allen Davis won in 1:53.3 in the DSBF race for 2-year-old male pacers. Their wins have set the horses up for the $110,000 championship series on Nov. 20 — a key step in their rookie season. Deleware State Government
- ➤ Tatnall runner Dylan McCarthy was named Delaware Online High School Sports Athlete of the Week for Week 10 after winning the DIAA Division II championship race at Killens Pond with a time of 15:37.90. He earned the honor by receiving the highest vote in a free online contest that ran Monday through Thursday — the title was presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists. Delaware Online
- ➤ Red Lion Christian cheerleaders won a Delaware online poll as the best overall high school football cheerleading squad with 48.5% of over 203,000 votes cast — St. Georges finished second while Saint Mark’s and First State Military Academy followed. Delaware Online
- ➤ Derian Cunningham of Middletown was named Delaware Online Football Athlete of the Week for Nov. 7-8 after he posted 181 yards of offense, including two touchdown passes and a 41-yard touchdown run in a 32-7 win over Appoquinimink—he won the online vote against four other nominees.
