Wilmington's Sunday Breakfast Mission has launched a Turkey Challenge to help feed the homeless and hungry families by collecting about 1,800 turkeys—groups are asked to donate at least 25 turkeys and receive a special Turkey Challenge T-shirt.

The mission has partnered with WSFS Bank for the Great Thanksgiving Food Drive and will benefit from WDEL's Feed-a-Friend fundraiser on November 20th.

Avelo Airlines announced it will add two routes from Wilmington Airport to Atlanta and Chicago in 2026.

The Atlanta route will begin Feb 12th, 2026 with five weekly flights and the Chicago route will start March 12th, 2026 with four weekly flights — increasing the airport's nonstop services to 14 and adding a new Boeing 737.
