REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Ex-Wilmington mayor Mike Purzycki’s foundation is seeking to take over the decrepit Gibraltar estate that has been partly restored with state, city, and federal funds, but the Land Bank delayed the transfer last week amid concerns over a conflict of interest raised by councilwoman Shané Darby and local residents (including questions about process transparency). The foundation will work with the Land Bank and community stakeholders to restart discussions on Gibraltar’s future (a plan that could include further restoration and zoning changes) in the coming months.  WHYY
