  • Members of Heart for Humanity packed food at Victory Christian Fellowship near New Castle to support a local drive. ESPN's First Take (a well-known sports show) will be featured at Delaware State University later as part of the university's community outreach.  Delaware Online

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Mayor Carney said Wilmington has seen an increase in unhoused people coming from nearby cities and that the city is using Christina Park as a temporary shelter site—services there include a new dining room at 600 4th Street, outdoor restrooms, and water while plans are made to expand affordable housing and improve safety. The mayor added that regional partners and a letter to Philadelphia's mayor will help manage the influx and ease the strain on local resources.  WDEL
