- ➤ On Oct. 11, Wilmington Porchfest brought hundreds to streets in Trolley Square and Cool Springs with 12 porches hosting 44 music acts despite a light drizzle—organizer Pete Romano planned the event for six months. Residents like volunteer Melanie Watt and local artist Grace Vonderkuhn, who performed at 1:30 p.m. on Rodney Street, added to the lively neighborhood celebration. Delaware Online
- ➤ On Saturday, a group gathered at Vernon Park to process their grief through storytelling, art, and group rituals as organized by Salt Trails Philly — participants wrote their feelings on sticky notes that were later burned to symbolize shared healing. - ➤ A strong nor'easter is hitting Delaware today and will bring steady rain, high winds and rising water levels to coastal areas. Officials have issued a coastal flood warning for Kent and Sussex counties from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and for New Castle from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.—with wind gusts up to 60 mph and seas expected to rise above 15 feet.
