- ➤ Gov. Matt Meyer and Secretary of Education Cindy Marten announced a statewide initiative — the Early Literacy Plan — that will help every public school student read on grade level by third grade. Delaware Online
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Delaware Emergency Management Agency has issued a Coastal Flood, Storm and High Wind Watch from Sunday through Monday as an intensifying coastal storm will bring heavy rain, coastal and urban flooding, wind gusts up to nearly 60 mph, and dangerous marine conditions. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items, prepare emergency kits, and follow updates from local officials and the National Weather Service—measures designed to help keep everyone safe. - ➤ Today, the Delaware Department of Agriculture announced that the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation preserved 36 properties and over 2,800 acres for $14.9 million at Oliphant Farm in Laurel—attended by Governor Matt Meyer and other officials.
