- ➤ Forbes ranked Delaware’s best companies for 2025 by surveying worker satisfaction, pay equity, career growth, and work culture; Wawa earned the 9th spot among 1,417 organizations. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A study by Lawn Love compared rental costs in 195 U.S. metro areas and found that Delaware ranks in the middle with an overall score of 34.03—positioning it at No. 95. The study also noted that nearly 30% of renters pay more than 30% of their income for rent—highlighting regional cost pressures. Delaware Online

- ➤ Delaware State Police opened their new Troop 6 at Prices Corner on Kirkwood Highway, and officials, troopers, and community members celebrated the grand opening. The nearly 34,000 square foot facility—six times larger than the previous building from 1970—features modern work spaces, a fitness area, a welcoming lobby, and a community room for public events. - ➤ Delaware law does not ban riding in the back of a pickup truck but it makes the act illegal on public roads because all passengers must use seat belts—truck beds lack the proper safety features required by law. Delaware Online
- ➤ Gov. Matt Meyer signed a bill last month at the Brandywine Valley SPCA—creating a public Animal Abuse Offender Registry—and the law stops animal shelters from approving adoptions for anyone on the list.
