- ➤ Wilmington Fire Department crews responded Thursday to a row home on South Union Street after a kitchen fire was reported—firefighters quickly located and contained the blaze while confirming that two residents had safely exited and were evaluated for minor burns and smoke inhalation—and limited damage mainly to the first floor. - ➤ UD assistant professor Elise Corbin received an NSF CAREER Award to design magnetic tools that mimic heart cell stiffening after a heart attack.
