ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Monday morning, emergency crews responded to a crash on Route 301 southbound in Middletown that hit three vehicles—one person died and a driver was airlifted to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries—and workers are still clearing the roadway.  First State Update
  • Delaware State Police investigated a two-vehicle collision in Middletown on Sept. 1 that killed a 31-year-old man from Elkton, MD when his Ford Focus collided with a Kenworth tractor around 1:40 a.m.—the tractor's driver and passenger from Yonkers were seriously injured and sent to a hospital.  Delaware Online

  • Downtown Wilmington now offers a 15-minute self-guided audio tour that takes visitors from the Queen theater to 15 stops including the ornate Grand Opera House and an I.M. Pei-designed building—presenting the city's preserved history and modern growth in one engaging walk.  WHYY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Matt Meyer vetoed a bill that would change how thousands of workers are hired for construction projects, citing worries about harm to small businesses—he said he will explore other ways to enforce wage theft laws and direct the Labor Department to report by year’s end.  Spotlight Delaware
  • Officials announced that US 13 over Blackbird Creek in Townsend will close for 45 days to demolish old bridges and build new ones — forcing drivers in southern New Castle County to follow detour routes.  Bay to Bay News
