- ➤ A man was shot multiple times Sunday afternoon near Vandever Avenue and North Locust Street—officers responded to reports of gunfire and emergency responders took him to a trauma center while police investigated the incident. First State Update
- ➤ Delaware State troopers caught 45-year-old Juan Carbajal after he robbed a woman at knifepoint in the Kohl's parking lot at 4437 Kirkwood Highway around 7 p.m. on Wednesday—he drove off in a white Dodge Ram before being booked on charges of first-degree robbery and possession of a deadly weapon. - ➤ The University of Delaware will host Move-in Weekend 2025 for new students and their families to settle into campus housing and attend orientation sessions this coming weekend (events are scheduled from Saturday to Sunday). - ➤ Delaware leaders met today at a Medicaid roundtable to plan how to help 250,000 enrollees meet new work requirements so they do not lose coverage when Big, Beautiful Bill cuts federal funds. - ➤ The Big Bounce America will return to Kirkwood Sports near New Castle from October 3rd to 5th this fall—featuring a 24,000-square-foot bounce house and six inflatable sections for all ages.
