ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters responded early Saturday morning to a fire at the Main Event entertainment complex on Fashion Center Boulevard and saw black smoke coming from the roof—activating sprinkler systems near the bowling lanes—while investigators from the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office determined the cause and event organizers advised scheduled guests to check with the venue. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A survey by John Foy and Associates showed that Delaware had the nation’s lowest drunken driving arrest rate with 43 arrests per 100,000 drivers, while South Dakota had 879 arrests per 100,000. The study also noted that Delaware drivers must get ignition interlock devices after their first offense — a rule to help prevent repeat violations. Delaware Online
- ➤ A 24-year-old woman was shot early Saturday morning on the 1100 block of Pleasant Street in Wilmington—she was hospitalized in stable condition. WDEL

- ➤ State Rep. Madinah Wilson-Anton proposed a bill to post all financial disclosure reports on the state website—letting Delaware citizens view them without filing a FOIA request. Senate President Pro-Tem Dave Sokola and other advocates support the measure, which will be considered when lawmakers return in January. WHYY
