- ➤ Delaware State Police investigated a fatal crash on June 25th at about 10:36 p.m. in New Castle when a 2012 white Nissan Altima struck a pedestrian on the left southbound lane near South Dupont Highway—she was a 50-year-old woman from Annapolis who died at the scene while the 20-year-old driver was not injured. Governor Kyle Evans Gay thanked partners for passing House Bill 169(s) that directs vital funding from the Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission to affected communities — the law streamlines decision-making processes by giving subject matter experts final authority and adding new expertise to the Behavioral Health Consortium. - ➤ The Delaware Office of Highway Safety’s Sober Rides program will offer ride-share vouchers for Lyft or Uber on July Fourth so residents can travel safely to holiday celebrations.
