- ➤ In 2021, Mark Sellers was beaten, bound, and taken from a Wilmington rowhouse by Shotgun Crips members who drove him in a Jeep to Philadelphia and Yeadon before executing him with an assault rifle—six people have been convicted and gang leader Dwayne Alexander faces a life sentence later this year. - ➤ On Tuesday, the Delaware Department of Justice indicted Gordon Turner, 22, from New Castle for a crash on April 29 that killed a University of Delaware student and injured several others while fleeing police in a stolen vehicle — he faces charges including first degree murder, second degree murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. - ➤ About 300 inmates in Building W at Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna are without air conditioning during a dangerous heatwave that pushes temperatures over 100 degrees — officials have offered temporary relocation to cooler multi-classification housing, yet few have moved.
