- ➤ Gov. Matt Meyer signed House Bill 110 on April 24th—which now requires background checks for anyone who works, owns or sits on a marijuana business board. The law will help move Delaware’s weed industry forward as the state works to secure FBI approval for fingerprinting checks—Governor’s nominee Joshua Sanderlin awaits Senate confirmation. - ➤ Today Governor Matt Meyer signed HB110 into law which changes fingerprint-based background checks for Delawareans who want to work, own & run a licensed marijuana business. The new law aligns state practices with federal standards and will help secure national FBI background information for launching Delaware’s adult-use cannabis industry. Deleware State Government
- ➤ The Delaware Air National Guard will join a full scale emergency drill today at Wilmington Airport (ILG) starting at 9 a.m. The exercise, called Operation Cornerback, simulates a mass casualty incident with over 30 victims and will be evaluated by state, federal, and local agencies. WDEL

- ➤ This week the Delaware Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission announced that it is accepting applications for Round 3 of grant funding and has set aside about $13 million to support programs that address the opioid crisis—organizations can apply for micro grants up to $10,000, mini grants between $10,000 and $30,000, or general grants of $30,000 or more with deadlines from April 21 to May 19.
