- ➤ On April 19, protestors gathered along Route 13 in front of Wilmington Airport to oppose Avelo Airlines following its decision to start deportation flights for ICE. - ➤ State Police detectives are investigating a shooting on Red Lion Road in Bear on April 19th at 1:30 a.m., when shots from a fleeing vehicle wounded a 34-year-old man who was taken to a hospital — the investigation continues as detectives search for the motive. WDEL

- ➤ On Saturday, April 19, officers responded to a crash on West Avenue in Holloway Terrace where a black GMC Terrain driven by 45-year-old Roland Fleming struck 72-year-old John Christiansen on his electric scooter, leading to Christiansen’s death on April 20 and charges of vehicular assault and DUI, and officers later responded to a separate crash at West Avenue and Fifth Street where a pedestrian was critically injured and the roadway remains closed as investigators work. - ➤ Wilmington churches celebrated Easter with festive services and community activities that brought worshippers together through live music and family events.
