  • UD faculty+students designed President Carlson’s inauguration dress that features 150 tiny shoes symbolizing the majors, custom blue+gold sneakers to honor her running, and knit details reflecting her hobby; the gown was showcased at the gala on April 16.  University of Delaware
  • Mt. Cuba Center hosts spring events including Wildflower Weekend (Apr. 24 to 26) with guided tours and live music, a Mother’s Day Celebration on May 10, and twilight concerts starting May 15 in its gardens.   • Authorities warn that venomous Asian needle ants, which deliver painful stings that can cause severe allergic reactions, have been reported in neighboring states and could soon reach Delaware.
