- ➤ State Rep. Kevin Hensley pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and vehicular assault after a November rollover crash near Milford hurt another driver—he was sentenced to 18 months with one year of probation, a one-year license suspension, a $500 fine and a DUI course, and his earlier offense over 10 years ago led to a reduced penalty as he said he is on a recovery journey. - ➤ Delaware State Police arrested 44 year old Ginger Velasquez of Georgetown for a 7th DUI offense when a trooper spotted a Chevrolet Cruze with an improperly displayed license plate on Wilson Hill Road near Downs Road on April 15th at 3:18 a.m.—she was released on a $7,001 unsecured bond. - ➤ The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce released a report showing the state's population grew 21% since 2006—driven by a 92% rise in retirees and fewer babies being born. The report warns that a shrinking workforce and rising housing costs will pressure the economy and strain services like health care. WHYY

- ➤ University of Delaware’s Biden School, iMEdD and the SNF Ithaca Initiative will host the second Media and Democracy Summit May 5-6 at the Trabant University Center in Newark—open to journalists, academics and students.
