- ➤ The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Wilmington announced its new Broadway season, featuring productions including The Wiz, SIX, Beetlejuice, The Bodyguard, A Beautiful Noise and Clue, with premieres slated for the 26/27 season at the historic theater. 6abc
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A report from the National Pest Management Association forecasts that Delaware will see above average pest activity this year as warmer weather and a drier spring spur early insect emergence. Termites, stink bugs and other pests are expected to appear ahead of schedule. Delaware Online
- ➤ AccuWeather released its forecast for hurricane season, predicting 11-16 named storms and 4-7 hurricanes from June 1 to Nov. 30. The report notes tropical development may occur before the season begins and highlights higher risk along the Carolinas and Virginia coastline. Delaware Online

- ➤ Today, the Delaware Court of Chancery ruled to override Sussex County’s zoning decision on a US Wind substation that will connect offshore wind power to the grid, reaffirming that zoning authority belongs to the General Assembly. - ➤ Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer ordered flags lowered through sundown Tuesday to honor former Sen. Nancy Cook, while Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro mandated flags remain at half-staff through sundown today to honor US Army Pfc. Krystofer Lee Lopez after his funeral — both orders aim to pay tribute to fallen public servants.
