  • Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County celebrated the completion of three new Grace Point III homes in Middletown on Thursday, with community leaders and volunteers in attendance as three families received their keys.  Delaware LIVE
  • City officials and Friendship House will install mobile showers and washers at Christina Park by April to help unhoused residents after a harsh winter. The project, in partnership with 1 in 7B Foundation, aims to improve local hygiene services.  Delaware Public Media
  • The Junior Barber Academy provided free haircuts to kids at STUBB Early Education Center on Thursday, March 26. The eight-week program helped youth learn barbering skills (teaching essential trade basics) and build community ties.  6abc

CULTURE NEWS

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Matt Meyer announced nearly $28 million in federal funding to expand high-speed broadband to over 4,500 unserved homes and businesses statewide, with construction starting this fall and finishing by 2029.   • On Thursday, the Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board upheld DNREC’s decision that a proposed data center near Delaware City violates the Coastal Zone Act, delaying Starwood Digital Ventures’ Project Washington planned off Route 9 between Hamburg Road + Governor Lea Road until a final letter is released.  WDEL
