- ➤ Senior Jordan Welch of Sussex Tech was named the state’s boys indoor track and field Athlete of the Year on March 18 after recording top marks in the high, long and triple jump events; his 48-2.5 triple jump placed him fifth on the state all-time list – a standout achievement in a season of state record-setting performances. - ➤ Cape Henlopen's Amalia Fruchtman and Tatnall's Mason Collins were named Delaware's 2026 High School Basketball Players of the Year by the Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association.
