- ➤ A poll invites Delaware residents to vote for their favorite local convenience store as chains and mom-and-pop outlets offer snacks and meals. The survey (online) launched March 19 at 5:14 a.m. ET and gives locals a chance to share their opinions. Delaware Online

- ➤ AAA released its gas price report on Thursday, Mar. 19, showing Delaware gas prices at $3.75, up 37 cents from last week as the War in Iran drives rising costs in the region. Delaware Online
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Delaware State Board of Education voted on Thursday, Mar. 19, to revoke the charter of Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence, meaning the school will close at the end of the 2025-26 school year. Officials said the decision was based on concerns over enrollment, finances, staffing and student support. WDEL
- ➤ Dr. LaRetha Odumosu, Wilmington’s inaugural director of the Office of Educational Advocacy, left her role last Thursday to join Governor Matt Meyer’s education team as Senior Policy Advisor. - ➤ DNREC is gearing up for mosquito control in Milford & officials say freezing winter temperatures won’t reduce these 125 million-year-old pests, so targeted measures will soon follow. Bay to Bay News
- ➤ DNREC released statewide deer harvest totals for the 2025-2026 season and unveiled an interactive dashboard mapping game counts across Delaware’s 18 hunting zones. The dashboard noted 16,746 deer taken—with 8,500 in Sussex County—and aims to help hunters plan future outings. Delaware Public Media

- ➤ Delaware senators held a packed committee hearing on Wednesday at the statehouse to debate Senate Bill 1, a proposal to boost primary care funding & set caps on hospital cost negotiations.
