- ➤ The Calidore String Quartet from University of Delaware has teamed up with John Williams + the iconic Star Wars composer + for their 2026 album American Tapestry. Delaware Online
- ➤ Delaware artist SZA is known for her Grammy-winning music and strong local ties after studying marine biology at Delaware State University (she also serves as Vans' artistic director). - ➤ Rocking the Docks has unveiled a second wave of summer concerts featuring Firefly Music Festival alumni. - ➤ New Castle County Police and Paramedics invite youth to join a free, career-focused Summer Youth Program offering training in law enforcement and emergency medical services from July 6 – July 17. Applications must be submitted by May 1. New Castle County Police Department

- ➤ An evaluation shows the Farmers' Almanac best predicted Delaware’s heavy snowfall and above-average precipitation this winter — it warned of storm conditions near I-95 close to Wilmington even though temperatures were lower than expected — while the National Weather Service and AccuWeather forecasts were less accurate. - ➤ Sen. Stephanie Hansen (D-Middletown) proposed a bill to remove Delaware’s 8% cap on net metering during a committee meeting on March 16. The Environment, Energy and Transportation committee approved SB 239 for Senate floor consideration to support greater solar investments and renewables. Delaware Public Media
- ➤ Ruby-throated hummingbirds began their migration on March 16 in North Carolina; bird watchers around Wilmington may see them in late April and May and set up feeders to attract the vibrant birds — a simple way to view nature in action. Delaware Online
