  • Wilmington Riverfront marks 30 years by launching a month-long giveaway that began March 1 on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. The Riverfront Development Corp said winners can get gift cards, game tickets, movie passes, or merchandise (with a grand prize to be announced later) as celebrations continue.  Delaware Online

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Thirteen culinary students at Food Bank of Delaware’s Culinary School completed a scrapple-focused mid-term exam on Feb. 25 in Milford. They prepared a range of dishes (showing their creative skills) during the exam.  Bay to Bay News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The New Castle County Division of Police has launched Delaware’s only Human Trafficking Hotline, available 24/7 to connect callers with law enforcement & victim services in New Castle County and surrounding areas. The new service is meant to offer immediate assistance to those in need.  New Castle County Police Department
  • DelDOT announced daytime lane closures on northbound I-95 from today until March 5 for truck access between the Route 896 exit & the Biden Welcome Center, with overnight closures scheduled from 9 p.m. March 4 until 5 a.m. March 5 to support bridge work in Newark.  Delaware Online
