  • Trader Joe's earned the top spot in the American Consumer Satisfaction Index with an 86 rating & strong customer satisfaction from 31,293 survey responses. Delaware shoppers can visit its locations on Concord Pike in Wilmington & Fashion Center Blvd in Newark.  Delaware Online
  • Two Stones Pub announced on Facebook that its Middletown location (opened in 2019) will close in the next two months after nearly seven years in service; the owners invite guests to visit one last time to celebrate with the team.  Delaware Online

CULTURE NEWS

  • A new virtual exhibit (Delaware’s Diverse Histories) launched on Feb. 25 and broadens the narrative beyond 1776 by showcasing contributions from diverse communities that shaped Delaware’s history over the centuries.  Deleware State Government
  • Delaware native George Thorogood, a Brandywine High alum, rocked Wilmington in late 2025 and now gears up for his spring and summer 'Baddest Show on Earth' tour across the U.S. and Canada, with his nearest show on May 3 at Penn's Peak (Jim Thorpe) before his tour continues.  Delaware Online

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Delmar School District is dealing with severe overcrowding at its middle & high school, which serves nearly 1500 students in a facility built for 1200. Officials are repurposing shared spaces and plan to reapply for a Certificate of Necessity in August.  Spotlight Delaware

  • AccuWeather forecasts that Delaware faces severe thunderstorms + heavy downpours this spring with peak risks in May while tornado chances drop and flash floods are expected; the National Weather Service reports a balanced outlook for warmer and cooler days ahead.  Delaware Online

  • DHSS and DNREC have reopened a grant for PFAS outreach in underserved areas and regions with past industrial activity. Applications will be accepted until (4:30 p.m. EDT) on March 27.  Deleware State Government

  • University of Delaware scientist Joohyun Lim is using NIH funding to study the genetics of jaw joint disorders and new cell tools (spatial transcriptomics) to explore osteoarthritis affecting millions. His research may lead to improved non-invasive treatment options for painful TMJ issues.  University of Delaware
  • ShopRite offers free Wellness Your Way Starter Kits to customers starting a GLP-1 prescription for weight management at local pharmacies. The offer began the week of Feb. 23 and is available while supplies last at Wilmington outlets and nearby locations.  Delaware Online
