- ➤ At 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, the Wilmington Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 475 Hay Road & managed a structural explosion that led to an evacuation; officials reported no injuries, contamination, or public danger from the incident.
