- ➤ The Food Bank of Delaware is hosting its 4th annual Souper Bowl to collect 2,026 cans of soup for its Healthy Pantry Centers in Newark and Milford by February 16 — Dunkin’ of Greater Philadelphia donated $31,500 on Feb. 5 as part of its Roast Hunger campaign. WDEL

- ➤ Delaware added about 5,400 jobs in 2025—mostly in health care—even as unemployment rose with a growing workforce; analysts said policymakers must boost private-sector growth to counter declines in manufacturing and hospitality. Delaware LIVE

- ➤ Over 100 high school students gathered at UD on Jan. 13 for Delaware Dialogues for Future Leaders where they practiced civil discourse + explored ways to engage in democracy. Facilitators stressed empathy and active listening to build inclusive community dialogue. University of Delaware
- ➤ Christina School District’s Albert H. Jones and William B. Keene elementary schools were recognized as National ESEA Distinguished Schools for Exceptional Performance and Closing the Achievement Gap for the 2024–2025 school year. - ➤ DNREC reported that the 2026 lottery for State Wildlife Area Spring Turkey Season permits attracted a record 992 applications for 540 permits ahead of the season, with 869 coming from local residents (22 from other states). Bay to Bay News
