ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Delmarva Power and Delaware Electric Cooperative have set emergency plans as heavy ice and snow may cause outages from Saturday night through Monday morning. Officials urge residents to stock emergency kits and charge devices while crews remain ready to restore power quickly if disruptions occur. WDEL
- ➤ The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control warned that sledding or walking on the dunes is illegal because the dunes protect fragile wildlife habitat and nearby infrastructure. Officials said that marked dune crossings are the only allowed points of access. Delaware Online
