- ➤ Two local startups, Aternium and GradBridge, were added to Philadelphia Business Journal’s Companies to Watch list. Aternium plans to expand clean energy projects with hydrogen plants & GradBridge will offer a new private student loan product in Spring. Delaware LIVE
- ➤ Ed Fisher relocated his hot dog cart to a temporary spot at Delaware City DMV beginning Wednesday, Jan. 21, where it sits to the right of the entrance following the closure of his Hessler Boulevard location. He said the cart will return when that location reopens. WDEL

- ➤ On January 21, the Delaware Division of the Arts announced 27 fellowships worth $184,000 to local visual, literary, and performance artists; awardees must host a public exhibit or performance to showcase their work & enrich community culture. Deleware State Government
- ➤ Dwain Kalup, executive chef at La Fia Bistro, was named a James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef (Mid-Atlantic) on Jan. 21. This is his second nomination for the prestigious culinary award and highlights the restaurant’s ongoing role in Wilmington’s dining scene since its 2014 debut. Delaware Online

- ➤ University of Delaware researchers unveiled an optical method to detect magnetic states in antiferromagnets—a breakthrough that could lead to faster computing and quantum advances.
