Delaware high school girls volleyball fans may cast a free vote for their top player for the 2025 season in a poll presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists. The winner will be announced on August 22 & voters from across the state are encouraged to participate.
Brian Briddle, 27 from Newark, was sentenced after pleading guilty to causing the death of University of Delaware freshman Noelia Gomez who was struck by his speeding motorcycle on East Main Street on August 27—he will remain in prison until July 2039.
